Newsroom \ Accountants Counting Down

Sponsored by the Iberostar Grand, Rose Hall, Crump, western regional manager of Chas E Ramson, not only hailed the Kingston professionals in his midst, but boosted plans by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Caribbean (ICAC) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica to hold the 29th annual Caribbean Conference of Accountants in the capital city.

"The organisers of the conference are quite mindful that Kingston is not Jamaica," he quipped, calling their efforts to promote the event in the Second City revolutionary.

The conference theme is representative of the 29th annual Caribbean Conference of Accountants which will be hosted at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel from June 23-25. And although the event speaks to targeting accountants, the packed room of Montegonians were warned.

"We want it to be known that this is not only a conference for accountants. It is a business conference from which all sectors of the society can benefit. As such, we have engaged an exciting mix of local and international presenters who will highlight topical issues which will be informative, stimulating and relevant to accountants and other professionals," stressed Archibald Campbell, president of the ICAJ.

Campbell expects approximately 1,000 delegates from across the Caribbean to converge on city Kingston.
